Developing a forecast, budget or plan, or closing the books is necessary to an organization’s financial well-being but isn’t sufficient to allow decision-makers to function more efficiently and to make better decisions. Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions provide an architecture that supports financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; consolidation and close; profitability and cost analysis; strategic modeling; and reporting and analysis. This week is about leveraging on-premises EPM (Hyperion) and Cloud EPM to improve decision making.

Each day will feature sessions focused on a specific track:

  • Monday: Cloud EPM & Hyperion Overview
  • Tuesday: Account Reconciliation & Narrative Reporting
  • Wednesday: Planning/Forecasting, Hyperion On-Prem, & Groovy
  • Thursday: Integrations, plus the Virtual Happy Hour
  • Friday: PCM & Financial Close

This Virtual Education Week Features:

  • 15 live webinars (available later for on-demand viewing) consisting of Oracle-led product roadmaps, real-world customer stories, and tech sessions
  • The opportunity to earn CPE credits during the live broadcast of sessions (credits cannot be awarded for viewing recordings)
  • A virtual Happy Hour
  • Access to an exclusive online community for deeper dialogue and Q&A with speakers and other attendees

Orchestrating Account Attestation and Financial Close through FCCS, ARCS and EDMCS

Connie Kirby, Deloitte
Abhinav Anand, Deloitte

1 - 2 pm ET

Our client, a leading financial institution in Canada and globally, implemented the solution to automate their monthly close process. The financial close process for the client consisted of a series of manual processes involving people from different entities, transits (branches) and departments within the organization. The key process that presented significant challenges to the client was the financial attestation process, which consisted of a series of steps or workflows performed by individuals and scheduled based on a close calendar. It consisted of the substantiation and multi-level approval/review of account balances.
The solution, which we partnered with Oracle Product team to help architect, was a combination of multiple modules in the Oracle EPM Cloud Enterprise Suite.

The session will include live demo and system walk through. The following topics will be covered:

  • Business process flow and major use cases
  • Proposed solution architecture
  • System demo
