Professional Role & Oracle Products Used
For the last 10 years, I've held the role of Director of Enterprise Applications at several large global manufacturing companies. I've been responsible for supporting all of the company's Enterprise Applications, including Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle SOA, ISG, & OICS, Hyperion, BI Publisher, OBIEE, Discoverer and have integrated with a large number of ancillary systems.
What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?
Oracle's suite of Applications and Technology is a complex ecosystem that can be complex for even experts in the field to navigate. Having a user led group where members help each other maximize the investments that have already been made as well as helping avoid pitfalls and generally offer advice and support each other, is critical for everyone's success. In my own experience, being involved with OATUG for the North Central Region has had a tremendous advantage on my own career and I want to help share that experience with others.
Why are you running for the Board, and what skills, connections, resources and expertise do you have to offer the organization?
I've had experience helping to coordinate conferences and I am an avid Oracle enthusiast. I've had presentations at most of the Ascend conferences in the last 6-7 years and love to share my knowledge and expertise with others in the Oracle space. I have a large number of contacts within Oracle as well as the user and consulting community from my years of experience.
Other OATUG and Volunteer Experience:
I am currently on the board of NCOATUG (North Central Oracle Applications Group) and have held several positions including Event Coordinator and OAUTUG liaison. I've helped coordinate the very successful serious of user conferences in the Chicago area and I'm still very active on the board as we work to re-event ourselves since Covid. I've been involved with Oracle as a user since 1999.
