Individual User (EOG Resources)
Professional Role & Oracle Products Used
I am a HRIS Analyst for EOG Resources based in Houston, Texas overseeing the development of our HCM system using my project management and technical skills. My company uses Oracle databases across all of our internal products.
What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?
OATUG's focus on being member led is incredibly important as it gives a voice to Oracle's users and a community to network, brainstorm, and collaborate with. By being able to interact with industry experts through networking, educational content, and the knowledge base it ensures that any Oracle products used within my organization can be maximized and used to their fullest potential.
Why are you running for the Board, and what skills, connections, resources and expertise do you have to offer the organization?
As a Board Member for the past 3 years I have been able to offer my perspective as a young professional on how to better engage with those who are new to Oracle applications and technology. I have used several Oracle products including EBS, HCM Cloud, and Oracle databases. HCM has been the primary focus of my career within this space bringing together the people and technical aspects of business. Through my career in IT and membership with OATUG I have worked in Alaska and Houston and with people from all over the world. I would like to continue using my experience to help push OATUG's mission so that we can continue to be the best Oracle user group there is.
Other OATUG and Volunteer Experience:
I first joined OATUG 5 years ago after making a career change from being a teacher to an IT professional. OATUG was invaluable in making that a successful transition. I first joined the Emerging Leaders committee where I have been a member for the past 4 years. I was the co-chair of the committee for 2 years and am now the committee chair. I have also been a member of the Governance Committee for the past 2 years. I have served on the OATUG Board of Directors for the past 3 years. I have attended the last 4 Ascend conferences and have presented at 3. I have also done several webinars with a focus on Professional Development as well as working on revitalizing the Mentorship program that OATUG offers.
