Cox Wireless High availability(HA) solution for Oracle order management
Cox Enterprises Inc.
Chowdari Bollam, Sr. Enterprise Applications Engineer
Pavan Nagaraju, Lead Enterprise Applications Engineer

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is a crucial component of Cox Wireless, offering a variety of real-time web services through Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) middleware for on-hand inquiries, order capture, and fulfillment. To ensure uninterrupted services during both planned and unplanned EBS outages, Cox implemented a high availability (HA) solution. This solution utilizes Oracle's Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) database, Oracle GoldenGate, and a custom Message Delivery Framework within the OIC layer.

In this presentation, we will explore the various infrastructure components, the high-level architecture, and the detailed technical aspects of this HA Oracle solution. We will also discuss how existing web services were enhanced with high availability using a "store and forward" approach.
