    During our 12.2.7 upgrade testing, when an inquiry is done on an active supplier the inactive date on the quick update page is filled in with today's date in parenthesis, rather than being blank. To the person doing the inquiry this makes it look like the supplier has been inactivated until they realize that what is showing is today's date (and I think will create lots of confusion).
    It does the same thing in the Tax & Reporting verification date if it is blank.

    Our IS team logged a SR and basically Oracle came back and said it is standard functionality in 12.2.7 and that they can't tell us why or what this functionality was in response to.  That makes no sense to me.  I highly doubt they would have made a change to a stable product like Payables just because.  

    Has anyone else noticed this ?  How are you dealing with it?  Just living with the change?

    Hi Anne,

    Our Payables users reported this same issue when testing for our 12.2.9 upgrade.  Like you, they were concerned the current date populating in the date fields would confuse users.  We did not log an SR with Oracle Support for this issue and went live on 12.2.9 back in July.  We are living with the change, and so far all is well.
