Oracle introduced Analytic Views as part of Oracle DB 12c Release 2. Now we can very easily write complex hierarchical and dimensional queries against existing database tables and views using very simple, straight-forward SQL. Any and all complexity is captured in the view definition. Aggregations, joins, computations, etc. are all defined in the Analytic View.

When coupled with Oracle Application Express (APEX), Analytic Views provide serious BI report capabilities. Best of all, both Analytic Views and Oracle APEX are available completely free with your Oracle Database license.

Objective 1: Introduce Oracle Application Express and explain how it qualifies as a low code framework

Objective 2: Introduce Analytic Views as well as Attribute Dimensions and Hierarchies

Objective 3:Enable attendees to create an Analytic View and query using simple SQL statements.

Objective 4:Attendees will see a demonstration of SQL Developer's Quick Analytic View feature.

Objective 5: Enable attendees to create stunning visualizations using Oracle Application Express.
