Presented by: Brijesh Bharat, Solution Architect, Lead Consultant, and Oracle Cloud Expert - TeamAdroit Solutions

Abstract:
In this new era of hybrid computing, where on-prem and cloud applications eagerly wait to get connected, start handshakes, transfer, and process data from each other. The focus is not just integration but also connecting seamlessly, living harmoniously in the fastest possible time. Oracle Cloud Integration (or OIC in short) natively supports web service calls to exchange data with other systems, making integration between Oracle Cloud apps and 3rd party systems easier and faster. The intended usage of OIC are implementations of simple, lightweight integrations between applications.
This presentation is geared towards Oracle Integration Cloud as a PaaS solution, which is further illustrated by presenting use cases from the actual implementations

12pm - 1pm EDT
Presented by:  Ted Chappell - STR Software

Join the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) Analytics, BI and Big Data Special Interest Group (SIG) in a discussion with Ted Chappell of STR Software in a discussion about how maintenance departments are embracing “Big Data” to improve their operations.

As industry buzzwords go, “Big Data” is being embraced amongst executives in the boardroom and amongst marketers and sales teams trying to find new ways to communicate with and sell to customers. Other groups and departments are scrambling to find ways to use Big Data to improve their operations—and the Maintenance Department is no exception. This is particularly evident as Oracle eAM users are considering a move to Oracle Maintenance Cloud, for which Oracle is heavily promoting the concept of Predictive (data-driven) Maintenance. Unfortunately, for those in the maintenance industry, Preventative Maintenance is still favored by 78% of maintenance teams, two tiers below the top of the Maintenance Pyramid.

This session will explore the role of Big Data for the future of maintenance. More importantly, we will discuss how maintenance departments can leverage the tools and information available to them now—inside both Oracle eAM and Oracle Maintenance Cloud—to begin a path toward Predictive Maintenance.
__________

The Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) Analytics, BI and Big Data Special Interest Group (SIG) was formed to allow users to share information and best practices related to the use of Oracle Analytics, BI and Big Data on-premises and cloud solutions. Through the SIG, users have access to education and training programs and may provide feedback to Oracle by recommending product enhancements and influencing future versions of the software. If you are interested in participating in the SIG, please join the membership at our web site at https://www.oatug.org/analytics/home.
