What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

Having access to an independent and member-led organization that helps me maximize my company’s investment in Oracle applications has given me a significant advantage as a finance professional working in a technology role. The OATUG gives me the tools to be a subject matter expert in my organization by giving me access to education and connecting me directly to other like-minded professionals. By continuing to serve on the board, I can give back to the community that has served me so well in so many ways.

Please list your previous and current OATUG volunteer roles, COLLABORATE experience, and other volunteer or leadership experience with other organizations:

Serving on the OATUG (formerly OAUG) Board of Directors since 2016, I have participated on various committees including Education, Membership and Engagement, Emerging Leaders, Meetings and Conferences and the Collegiate Forum. I served as the 2018 and 2019 COLLABORATE Conference Chair and will be serving as the Women in Technology program lead for COLLABORATE 2020. Finally, I am currently serving as the Secretary for the Board of Directors.

Why are you running for the board, and what skills, connections, resources, and expertise do you have to offer to the organization?

I am running for the board to ensure that I can give back to an organization who has given me so much professionally. My combination of technical and functional skills allows me to represent the business users and present new ideas that help the organization evolve. Keeping the OATUG’s vision and mission in mind, I will:

  • Communicate: Ensure that the Oracle user community has an open and honest communication path to connect with other Oracle users and Oracle itself.
  • Prioritize: Collaborate with other OATUG board members to support and prioritize activities that will enhance the OATUG membership, promote membership value, and drive growth within the organization.
  • Advocate: Draw on my own user experiences to promote the optimal benefit-in-use of Oracle Applications.

Tell us about your current professional role and what Oracle products you are using and/or supporting.

I am a seasoned Project Management Professional (PMP) with over seventeen years of direct Oracle application experience, serving in various roles as an administrator, project lead, trainer, and functional lead, working with Oracle products including Hyperion Planning & Essbase, Oracle e-Business Suite (GL and Procurement), and OBIEE. My current role is Sr. Manager, Financial Systems and Business Process at Dunkin’ Brands, and my primary focus is to leverage technology to serve the needs of my organization.
