Oracle E-Business Suite – AppsTier Java 1.7.0_431

Abstract:
This session will guide you through the necessary steps to upgrade the Java version in the Oracle E-Business Suite AppsTier to version 1.7.0_431. With the E-Business Suite's internal technology stack certifications requiring updated versions for enhanced security, this upgrade is critical. The discussion will cover locating, downloading, and testing the Java 1.7.0_431 for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems in a Linux environment, ensuring compatibility with WebLogic Server 11.1.1.9 and preparing for future support of Java 1.8.0 with WebLogic Server 12. Security concerns, such as the identified vulnerability in Java 1.7.0_85, will also be addressed, emphasizing the importance of staying current with Java updates.
