Introducing…OATUG’s New Executive Director, Julie M. Anderson, CAE, MBA
A certified association executive, Ms. Anderson has worked in association management for over twenty years. As executive director of the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG), Julie will be drawing upon her extensive knowledge in association management to facilitate strategic discussions, work with the board of directors to anticipate and take advantage of changes in the industry, oversee the implementation of operational plans and strategic initiatives, and ensure effective financial management.
In initiating her tenure at OATUG, Julie has created an initial 90-day work plan that includes learning from and listening to key volunteers, members, and staff to help make informed recommendations and decisions. On a personal note, Julie discovered the beauty and adventure of the US National Parks with a visit to Glacier in Montana in 2015. Since that trip, she has visited at least one or two parks yearly and has the national park passport book to prove it. In 2022, she visited the US Virgin Islands National Park. She enjoys long scenic hikes with friends, and sighting bears, moose, and buffalo. These adventure vacations allow her to completely unplug and enjoy living in the moment, where Wi-Fi is spotty, if it works at all.
Julie is a native of Savannah, Georgia, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in recreation from Georgia Southern University. She completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
