Ambassador FAQ

Each member organization has one designated OATUG Ambassador who serves as the primary point of contact. OATUG Ambassadors fulfill a few simple obligations throughout the year to maximize the value of your organization's OATUG membership. These simple yet important actions will help to ensure your colleagues have OATUG logins and know how to access the latest-and-greatest OATUG free and discounted benefits; this is how you Learn, Connect, and Save.

The Billing Contact’s only obligation each year is to receive and pay their annual OATUG membership dues invoice. OATUG encourages a general AP email address or AP contact for the billing contact. This ensures continuity of membership if any role changes during the tenure of your service.

In addition to receiving and reviewing invoices, the Ambassador votes on behalf of your organization and can add or remove profiles from your roster as team members change. Ambassadors are obligated to review and/or update their contacts list once a year and send a Benefits Reminder & Update quarterly email to all of your contacts (a message provided by the OATUG) to ensure your colleagues are up-to-date on all of the free and discounted resources available to them through their OATUG membership. Ambassadors can also utilize the Ambassadors Resource Page to find resources all year to help their co-workers.

The Ambassador can click on “My Account” at any time to access membership renewal information.

Once you have navigated to the “My Account” hyperlink in the upper left-hand side of the website, click on the “My Account” drop down to “Make a Payment” to view or print an invoice. Stay abreast of the membership expiration date by utilizing the “Manage Organization” dropdown to view your Organization information.

You can contact us to notify us of any former employees who should no longer be listed under your organization's membership or any new employees who should. You can also select How to Update Contacts under the Ambassador Resources for a step-by-step tutorial.

We ask that all Ambassadors check and update their organization's list of current contacts with OATUG logins at least once a year. Make sure you complete the Ambassador Participation Form once this task is complete</strong > so you receive credit toward the chance to win a free conference pass to the OATUG event of your choice!

No. Corporate User Members and Corporate Associate Members can have an unlimited number of employees and member logins associated with their OATUG membership. Individual memberships are limited to one contact person.

If they find that their OATUG profile is outdated or associated with the wrong organization, they can make those changes once logged in. Please feel free to encourage your colleagues to email us or call +1.404.240.0897, extension 2 if they have any questions or problems with the OATUG website or login process.

Contact membership@oatug.org and provide the new contact’s name and email address. OATUG staff will notify the existing Billing Contact of this change.

Please contact ambassador@oatug.org for assistance and to notify OATUG of the change to your membership contact. An OATUG staff member will help make the change for your organization.
