Title: Vice President of Enterprise Learning
Company: TrainingPros

What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

I have worked in business consulting for 30+ years and Training and Change Management support have been my focus and passion during this time. I have always believed that the End Users of any new process or system software need strong guidance through these changes. Without their acceptance, the transformed processes and new system functionality cannot be fully utilized.

I like that the OATUG is dedicated to this important support mission and supplies the right emphasis and many of the right tools to assist the User Community. Further, I really like the superior communication activities that make it simple and easy for Users to get answers to problems and communicate with others that either have similar issues or even better, have a solution for the issue. Those are reasons why I support the OATUG and would like to be a part of the Leadership Team.

Please list your previous and current OATUG volunteer roles, COLLABORATE experience, and other volunteer or leadership experience with other organizations:

I currently do not have any volunteer roles with OATUG.

I presented a paper at COLLABORATE 2019 Titled: "Bridging the Training Gap After ERP Go-live".

Prior to my current VP role with TrainingPros, Inc; I was the President and Practice Leader for the Change,Learning and Performance Practice at Ciber Consulting. Prior to that, I was a Partner Director(retired) with Deloitte Consulting and was the National Practice Director for the Change, Learning and Performance Practice supporting all ERP Practices within Deloitte Consulting. Prior to that I was a Senior Engineer for IBM and was in charge of Semiconductor Manufacturing. I was recognized as a strong leader and people manager in all of these organizations.

My volunteer experience is:

  • Former Board Member of the Atlanta Salvation Army
  • Former member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Education Subcommittee
  • Current member of the Architectural Review Board for the Laurel Canyon HOA in Canton Georgia

Why are you running for the board, and what skills, connections, resources, and expertise do you have to offer to the organization?

I am a strong and longtime believer in End User support. I have run three highly successful Consulting Practices focused on End User support and performance improvement.

I have published/presented over 18 white papers and position papers focused on the People aspects of Business Transformation and System Implementation. I also co-authored and published an iBook: "Practitioners Guide to Change Management" focusing on ERP implementation support.

I have a deep network from my experience with my many Clients and have over 850 LinkedIn connections. I am also a member of the Deloitte Alumni Group. Beside my passionate support for End Users, I have always been a strong leader and People Manager. I have been recognized by several of my former employers (Deloitte and IBM) for my People Management and Leadership skills. I was also selected to teach at the IBM Leadership School and have been a guest instructor at several Universities.

Tell us about your current professional role and what Oracle products you are using and/or supporting.

My current role is Vice President of Enterprise Learning at TrainingPros, Inc. based in Atlanta. My responsibility is to establish, develop and expand a Training, Change Management and Performance Support Practice dedicated to supporting Business Transformation and System Implementation.  TrainingPros has not traditionally worked in the Technical Training and Change Support market, so this is an opportunity to challenge my Leadership  and experience for a third time. Our team supports all of the Oracle products with a particular focus on ERP implementation projects. Another unique aspect to this emerging Practice is that it not only supports new implementations, but we put our focus on Clients that have been live for two to five years or more that have let there training materials become obsolete due to process or system changes or upgrades. With the movement to Cloud products, we have an increased focus for End Users as well.
