Oracle Linux anyone?

First of all I find the community support here to be the best so although I don't know if Operating System questions fit here, and while I have posted something on MOSC in the Oracle Linux forum, I never know when I might get a response.  So on the off chance there are other OATUG members who are also dealing with the Linux operating system I'll ask the question here.

We are looking at moving to OL and I am working on kicking the tires so to speak via a TEMP CSI to allow me to use ULN and I am working on setting up the rpm repository server via EMCC.  So my question at this point is when I'm doing the setup steps and I get to:

Setting Up the RPM Repository for Patching

Log in with super user privileges to set up an RPM Repository that downloads latest RPM packages and advisories from ULN. Follow these steps:

    4. In the Credentials section, ensure that the Normal Host Credential user has write access to the stage location, and the Privileged Host Credential user can sudo with root privilege. Click Apply.

I am at Step 4 and I have tested my Normal Host credentials and Privileged Host Credentials (ie they work) but it fails when I hit apply with 'Credential – Failed to set Credentials'. So is that be a sudo thing? What does "Write access to the stage location" refer to exactly (the /var/www/html directory)?  is there a log directory to check for info?

I am following 13.4 Cloud Control Host Lifecycle Management Guide and Patching Linux Hosts as my guide.

I am getting some help now from the MOSC where this question likely belongs so I'll say this will get sorted out.
