The OATUG.org/OATUG.com site and associated services (the “OATUG Site”) is a business collaboration service provided by the Oracle Applications Users Group (“OATUG”) and is subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions set forth below.
If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not access or use the OATUG Site.
Access to and use of the OATUG Site and its contents are subject to the disclaimers, terms and conditions set forth below, and all applicable laws and regulations in the United States, including all applicable export laws, regulations and restrictions, all of which are subject to change and revision from time to time without prior notice. OATUG reserves the right to terminate access to this OATUG Site or take other actions it reasonably believes necessary to comply with the law or to protect its rights. Any access or attempt to access this OATUG Site for any unauthorized purpose is strictly prohibited.
OATUG may modify this agreement at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified agreement on the OATUG Site. You agree to review the agreement periodically to be aware of such modifications and your continued access or use of the OATUG Site shall be deemed your conclusive acceptance of the modified agreement.
Except as otherwise identified, the trademarks appearing on the OATUG Site, whether registered or unregistered, are the property of OATUG. Such marks may not be used without the written permission of OATUG or the identified owner of the trademarks. No part of the OATUG Site may be copied or reproduced for commercial purposes without the express written permission of OATUG or the identified owner of the information and content. However, one copy of the content on any or all pages of this OATUG Site may be made by you for personal use. If any party or user misappropriates or uses any mark or copyright without the express written consent of OATUG, OATUG may pursue any and all injunctive, equitable, and monetary damages permitted under the law to protect and enforce its trademark and copyright. Any and all users of the OATUG site agree that if they use or misappropriate a mark or copyright without the express written consent of OATUG, OATUG shall receive legal fees and costs for protecting and enforcing its trademark and copyright.
You acknowledge that by sending to the OATUG Site and/or OATUG any information or material, in whatever form, the user grants OATUG a nonexclusive, worldwide, unrestricted, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid up license to use, execute, reproduce, display, perform, modify, create or have created derivative works of, transmit and distribute, internally and/or externally, and sublicense, in any medium or distribution technology, without accounting to the user, including the right to grant any or all of the foregoing rights and licenses to others. In addition, you agree that OATUG has the right to disclose, publish, disseminate and use, and permit others to disclose, publish, disseminate and use, any ideas, concepts, know-how and/or techniques that you provide via the OATUG Site, for any purpose without remuneration or accounting to you, including the right to grant any or all of the foregoing rights to others.
OATUG respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its Web site, and believes that visitors must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. The majority of data OATUG collects is used only to help OATUG better serve its members. It is our general policy to collect and store only company and contact information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, they will be posted on the OATUG web site.
OATUG collects data to improve its Web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs, and preferences; and to develop new products and services for its members. OATUG will not distribute or sell information to any third party with the intent of direct marketing or any purpose outside its stated mission of promoting networking and knowledge sharing among its members. Furthermore, OATUG will endeavor to protect member organization information from recruiters, direct marketers, or any other unsolicited contact outside of its stated mission.
To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the OATUG Web site, members and other users may select a user name and password that they use each time they log in. If, at any time, a member organization feels its members-only User ID and Password have been compromised, the member key contact shall inform the OATUG, who will reset it in a timely manner. Member and non-member visitors may browse OATUG's public areas anonymously.
Contact information (in databases and on other Web pages) on the OATUG Web site is provided to OATUG members for the sole and express purpose of improving their use of Oracle Applications and their ability to network with other members. Unauthorized copying or redistribution of information found anywhere on this Web site or use of company names for recruiting or direct marketing purposes is strictly prohibited and could result in suspension of OATUG membership.
OATUG reserves the right to contact you as a direct requirement of doing business with you and/or your organization. OATUG commercial communications will be done in accordance with the contact preferences you select in your OATUG contact profile. OATUG key contacts may disable OATUG contact profiles for the organization(s) he or she represents, at which point OATUG will no longer contact that individual. It is the OATUG contact's responsibility to keep his or her personal contact preferences up to date.
You acknowledge that electronic communications, databases and websites are subject to errors, malfunctions, tampering and break-ins, or that use thereof may result in damages to your systems or operations. While OATUG will implement reasonable precautions to attempt to prevent such occurrences, you further acknowledge that OATUG does not guarantee such events will not take place and that OATUG will not be liable for any such occurrences. You shall be solely responsible for ensuring that any information or content downloaded from the OATUG Site or any other website accessed from the OATUG Site does not contain any virus or other computer software code or subroutine designed to disable, erase, impair or otherwise damage its systems, software or data, and you shall indemnify, defend and hold OATUG harmless from any liability, claim, cost or damage arising out of any third-party claim or suit caused by such virus or code or subroutine.
OATUG advises all users to exercise discretion while browsing the Internet. Hyperlinks on the OATUG Site and other websites may direct users to websites containing information that some people may find offensive or inappropriate. Such linked websites are not under the control of OATUG, and OATUG makes no representations concerning any such websites. OATUG is not responsible for the accuracy, intellectual property compliance, legality, legitimacy or decency of any information or content contained on any websites accessible directly or indirectly via a Hyperlink to or from the OATUG Site.
The information and content provided on the Site and your access of the Site does not create a client-consultant or any other professional relationship between you and OATUG. Recruiting
Recruiting Policies
- Recruiting firms may not join the OATUG.
- Recruiting firms are prohibited from attending all OATUG Conferences.
- No recruiting is permitted at OATUG Conferences. This applies to all conference attendees - both members and non-members, users, and vendor/consultants.
- Any recruiting material found at OATUG Conferences will be confiscated and will not be returned.
- Conference attendees found violating any OATUG policies, including but not limited to these policies prohibiting recruiting activities at OATUG conferences, will be escorted from the conference an not allowed to return to the conference or any conference activities.
- Violators of any OATUG policies, including but not limited to these policies prohibiting recruiting activities at OATUG conferences, risk immediate termination of membership, without refund, and will not be permitted to re-apply for membership within the OATUG for a period of one calendar year.
- OATUG reserves the right to deny membership to any party or parties found violating any OATUG policies, including but not limited to these policies prohibiting recruiting activities at OATUG conferences.
- OATUG membership, conference attendee lists, or other OATUG contact listings are provided to OATUG members for the sole purpose of supporting networking and the sharing of information within the OATUG community. The use of any OATUG list is restricted, and may not be used in recruiting activities, or any other activity that may be damaging to OATUG member organizations.
- OATUG reserves the right to determine what activities and material constitutes "recruiting" and which material may be deemed as activities/materials which violate OATUG policies, including but not limited to these policies prohibiting recruiting activities at OATUG conferences.
Violators of any OATUG policy, including but not limited to these policies prohibiting recruiting activities at OATUG conference, should be reported to one of the following OATUG contacts: Etherio personnel, OATUG Conference chairperson(s), OATUG membership chairperson. Material in violation of said policies should also be provided to the contact, if possible.

The Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) is committed to the privacy of its members, registrants and other visitors to its website, and believes that visitors must be assured that personal data provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. In this privacy policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the OATUG and its affiliates, including Etherio, its management company (collectively, the “Data Controllers.”)
As the OATUG is an organization incorporated in the United States (and managed by Etherio, a US-based Association Management Company), restrictions and obligations dictated by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) apply only to EU data subjects and for conferences and events held in the EU.

Information We Collect
We collect personal data for various reasons, and may include: providing personalized website content, eCommerce, communicating with members and prospective members, conference and event registration, maintaining subscriptions, geographic or special interest groups, exhibitors and sponsors, guest information, certification, voluntary lead retrieval services, surveys and evaluations, opt-in marketing, timing and duration of use of our services, legal compliance, and various other ancillary services directly related to doing business with the association.
The Personal Data we collect can be used to identify an individual. This includes:

Various other extended and demographic data we collect could be used to triangulate identification of an individual (such as Job function + Age + Gender + Location).
This personal information shall be legally used only with your consent, for the proper administration of our business, or to fulfill our contractual requirements. We may process your personal data to operate our website, performing transactions (including purchases of goods and services), provision of services, ensuring security of our database and services, maintaining backups, data reporting and analysis, and communicating with you. By creating or logging into your account profile, you have the ability to perform transactions, modify your personal data, and/or maintain your opt-in marketing preferences. Our office is headquartered in the United States. Transfers to third countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards as designated by the European Commission. Despite these safeguards, we cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of such personal data by others.

Membership
Membership Terms and Conditions
OATUG has four main classifications of membership which can be purchased in a 12-month or 24-month subscription term. Typically, each membership terms starts from date of purchase.
Only one sub-category, the Star Partner membership which recognizes Corporate Associate partner and collaborators follows a calendar year subscription model. The memberships will be prorated in year one to adjust to the calendar year subscription.
Renewals are given a 30-day grace period from lapsed date. If posted within 30-day of date due, the membership will auto renew from original lapse date. Memberships are not refundable.
Member categories:
- Corporate/Organization User: Organizations that are licensed users of Oracle Applications or Technology. Applies to All employees. It is preferred, but not required, to use a company email address to apply for member benefits.
- Individual User: Individuals who use Oracle Applications or Technology and are not consultants. Applies to a single user.
- Corporate/Organization Associate: Organizations that provide products or services to users of Oracle Applications or Technology.
- Individual Associate:Independent, self-employed consultants who serve users of Oracle Applications or Technology.
Advertising
Advertising Policies and Procedures
The following policies encompass all OATUG’s associated digital properties unless otherwise stated.
General Guidelines
- Oracle Applications and Technology User Group is an independent professional membership association which does not guarantee, warrant, or endorse any commercial product or service.
- OATUG recognizes the support of sponsors in a manner clearly distinguishable from OATUG current education and discloses sufficient detail to enable others to reach independent conclusions about potential conflicts of interest. In the event that an ad may be interpreted as editorial, the word “Advertisement” should be displayed prominently at the top of the ad.
- OATUG accepts advertising only if acceptance does not pose an actual or potential conflict with OATUG business interests or mission.
- OATUG will make every reasonable attempt to publish, or circulate any accepted ad.
- For ads containing citations, the following parameters apply: 1. Reference material should be published or in press; and 2. Cited material may not reference articles “submitted for publication” or “data on file.” To be accepted, citations must reference the title of the article, publication, and date, or include a URL address where the citation may be found.
Rights Reserved by OATUG
- To reject or cancel any ad at any time. All advertising will be reviewed and approved by OATUG.
- To change the advertising policies for OATUG and its digital properties at any time.
- To decline advertising requests that may conflict with the mission of OATUG, are inconsistent with OATUG policy, or may reflect poorly upon OATUG.
- To make the final decision regarding the acceptability of all products, ad copy, and services to be advertised.
