In a Changing World, OATUG is Changing with the Times to Meet Your Needs

By Kathleen FAUERBACH, President, OATUG Board of Directors

We have all had to make unimaginable changes from the way we work at home and in the office to how we help our families with students now going to class remotely in most cases.

Under pressure and stress, it’s all too easy to let even critically important things fall by the wayside if they aren’t an imperative for the day. But that’s how progress slows and we fall behind! We don’t want you to stop learning and growing – as companies, teams and individuals. That’s why we’ve challenged ourselves to make learning and connecting as readily available as we can.

We have also been strengthening our partnerships with other users groups to magnify our collective impact for the Oracle user community, and we are excited to host online events this fall with the Oracle HCM Users Group (OHUG) and with our friends around the globe at OATUG Japan.

In the last few months of this year, we have some excellent opportunities for you to take advantage of from wherever you are working.

First, don’t forget to utilize OATUG’s The Hub to communicate with your peers or search for information in The Knowledge Base. Both of these tools were designed to bring you information when you need it. Using these at-your-fingertips resources to inform and enhance your innovation and implementations will only make your life easier as you redesign and retool as circumstances shift.

Then, for real-time education and innovation, please join us if you can for at least one of our remaining educational events. We are hosting three week-long events to close out 2020:

  • Professional Development Week (Oct. 5-9)
  • HCM Week by OATUG and OHUG (Nov. 2-6)
  • OATUG Forum Live (Dec. 7-11)

Last time I wrote to you, I was expressing my excitement about the opportunity to welcome you to an OATUG Forum Live in my hometown city of Las Vegas. Government restrictions and COVID realities being what they are, that event had to move online. While we will certainly miss the opportunity to see our community in person, that shift to virtual means that we can bring the content to a worldwide audience. (With the news – just announced – that EBS 12.2.10 is now here, EBS users really won’t want to miss all the content Cliff Godwin and the Oracle EBS product development team is bringing to OATUG Forum Live.)

You are our PRIORITY 1. We want to hear about your current challenges and what we can do to make you successful. Your OATUG Board of Directors are always interested in what you are looking for and needing to make your application work and fit your organization.
