President's Perspective

Dear OATUG Members, Friends, and Oracle Community,

It has been such an honor to cement existing connections with Oracle leadership, like Matt Smoldt, and to foster new connections, such as with Enda Hu. Enda spoke at Ascend for the first time, will be doing a podcast for us, and was the key speaker at our Cloud ERP Education Week. And as always, I want to thank Nadia Bendjedou and Cliff Godwin. Simply put, OATUG would not be the organization it is today without their continued dedication and support.

As we all know, AI is literally changing the world — and OATUG and Oracle are changing along with it. At the Board, we’ve led a quiet but purposeful review of the data at our fingertips to ensure we are capturing and reporting on all the key components of the organization. With the help of AI, we are using this information to support the organization in making data - driven decisions. And as I wrap up the year at Oracle AI World, it’s clear how much Oracle has been working to incorporate Agentic AI Agents throughout its Cloud offerings.

The many stories I’ve heard from you over the past year are a testament to the value of your time spent within the OATUG community. Y our voices matter more than ever. After spending a year as the leader of this organization, I have never been more certain that Oracle is leading innovation and change — and that OATUG stands ready to support its membership in embracing and adapting to that change.

As I wind down my year as President of OATUG 2025 – the 35th year anniversary of this esteemed organization – I am so grateful for everyone who has played a part in supporting me along this journey. There are far too many people to name, but I am especially grateful to the staff at OATUG, the Board of Directors, and all our amazing volunteers who give their time, effort, and expertise to help others along their journey with Oracle. OATUG is a center of knowledge where strong connections and inspired learning lead to better business outcomes. Lifelong friendships are forged. Our community is proudly welcoming, international, and on the leading edge of change.

With gratitude,

Brian Pellegrin
President, OATUG
