Dear Valued Members of OATUG,
As we move forward in this dynamic and ever-evolving technology landscape, I am excited to share some significant updates and insights that will shape our Oracle adventure together.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere… and it’s coming to EBS too! AI is not just a buzzword; it’s a transformative force revolutionizing industries across the globe. From healthcare to finance, AI is making processes smarter, more efficient, and more intuitive. I am thrilled to forward the announcement from Cliff Godwin, Oracle Senior VP’s presentation at Ascend 2024, that AI capabilities will soon be integrated into Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), bringing advanced insights to our fingertips. This integration promises to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and unlock new levels of productivity for our members.
We are reconnecting in person - and more than ever before. The past few years have taught us the value of adaptability, but they have also highlighted the irreplaceable nature of face-to-face interactions. I was inspired by the physical, in-person engagement at both Ascend 2023 and increasing even more in Ascend 2024. There's a palpable desire among our members to connect, collaborate, and engage in person once again. These interactions, which foster deeper relationships, drive innovation, and enhance the collaborative spirit of our community, are truly invaluable and irreplaceable.
These exciting changes make OATUG membership more advantageous than ever. To keep up with the times, we want to continually explore new ways to enhance the benefits we already offer. What more can OATUG do for you, our valued users, and associate members? We are committed to increasing awareness and engagement with Oracle applications and technology. Whether through webinars, workshops, or collaborative projects with Oracle and our partners, we are dedicated to providing you with the resources and opportunities to maximize your Oracle investments. Your feedback is crucial in this journey, so please reach out to your OATUG board members and let us know what you need to stay engaged and informed.
It is time to revitalize our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to make sure our community stays connected, united, and strong. Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are the heartbeat of OATUG, fostering focused discussions and knowledge sharing among members with common interests. As the Oracle technology and applications landscape evolves, so must our SIGs. We are committed to creating new SIGs that align with the OATUG mission and vision statements and support new Oracle products and initiatives. This agility allows us to continuously reinvent ourselves, ensuring we meet your needs and remain at the forefront of industry advancements.
In closing, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and engagement. Together, we are shaping the future of our users group, Oracle Technology and Applications, driving innovation, and cultivating a vibrant, resilient community. Your contributions and dedication are what make OATUG such a strong and dynamic organization.
Looking forward to many exciting conversations,
Bill Dunham
