Interview with Brian Grossweiler, CEO of More4Apps

Brian and Deborah Chat About More4apps and Ascend 2024

Deborah Grant: Welcome everyone. I'm Deborah Grant, Editor-at-Large of OATUG’s Insight magazine. Today, we're talking with Brian Grossweiler, CEO of More4apps. Welcome, Brian!

Brian Grossweiler: It's great to be here. Thanks for the opportunity.

Deborah: Where are you working from today?

Brian: Raleigh, North Carolina.

Deborah: Is that your headquarters?

Brian: Our U.S. headquarters is in California, but most of our U.S. employees work remotely. I'm here in Raleigh with two colleagues, and we have others scattered across Pittsburgh, Georgia, Kansas, Texas, and California. Our global headquarters is in New Zealand.

Deborah: What's the origin story of More4apps?

Brian: More4apps has a fascinating longevity, serving the Oracle community for nearly a quarter century. It started when the founders identified a widespread customer challenge, and over time, evolved into a well-established brand known for making lives easier. This small company grew into a global entity, adapting to changes like COVID and expanding into the UK—a remarkable achievement.

Deborah: Tell us more about your specialization in Oracle applications technology.

Brian: We started with E-Business Suite products and over 20 years developed robust solutions across its functional areas. In 2018, we embarked on our Cloud Fusion journey, supporting both EBS and Cloud Fusion—offering a transition solution for EBS customers and reaching new Oracle market segments.

Deborah: With so many companies specializing in Oracle's products, how do you stand out?

Brian: Our focus is on removing friction for our customers. We simplify user experience through our advanced validation function, which helps users identify errors in their data before loading into the ERP system. This critical function provides greater user efficiency for updating and fixing errors.  Most importantly, it provides confidence in the data that is being loaded into the ERP system.

Deborah: What keeps you motivated as CEO?

Brian: The excitement of improving lives, both internally and with our customers, drives me. Seeing people's eyes light up during demos, and realizing how much time they'll save, truly motivates me. It's about making people's lives happier and easier.

Deborah: How do you balance work and personal life?

Brian: I strive to make a positive impact in my work or personal life.  As I get older, I do my best to stay present.  This has provided better balance.  I enjoy spending time with my two children and engaging in outdoor activities in North Carolina.

Deborah: I heard you like hockey. Does that influence your work?

Brian: Absolutely. Similar to hockey, our team first value requires everyone to play their specific role effectively. This approach fosters success and is reflective of our new core values, which emphasize teamwork and efficiency.

Deborah: What can you tell us about your upcoming presence at Ascend 2024?

Brian: We're excited to introduce new product functions to the Oracle Fusion ERP customers.  We will provide an interactive hands-on demo experience, allowing attendees to experience firsthand the ease of using More4apps products. This will help us capture our simplicity and competitive edge effectively.

Deborah: Brian, thank you so much for joining us today. We look forward to seeing you at Ascend 2024 in Las Vegas!

Brian: Thank you, Deborah. I'm looking forward to it.
