In June 2023, all commercially issued Code Signing Certificates were required to be secured using a hardware token which could be delivered as an HSM or a secure USB key. Unfortunately, this broke all the EBS AD utilities that sign the JAR files. In August 2024, Oracle released patches to fix the utilities. In this session, we will review a method to sign your JAR files using the secure USB key. Then we will convert this to use the updated method from Oracle.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn why hardware tokens are now required for Java code signing certificates and understand the impact on Oracle EBS utilities.
- Understand how to use a secure USB key to sign JAR files in Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Gain practical experience in transitioning to the updated Oracle method for code signing with the latest patches.
