What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

OATUG mission to maximize customers' investments in Oracle and Partner solutions and educate on Oracle applications and technology has always helped me since I've been attending OATUG and other forums like DOUG since last many years. I've had great experience in interacting with OATUG members and many vendors helped our organization in implementing various solutions and helped me in learning about new technologies as well as new business areas and new solutions to help our business users.

I always wanted to contribute towards OATUG, that's when I thought of presenting a paper on how we leveraged Oracle APEX in extending our Oracle EBS system to develop some very useful solutions. I wanted to share my experience with our user community so it can help them build their own solutions using these Oracle tools. I am very keen in connecting with users and exchanging experiences
to maximize investments in Oracle solutions.

Please list your previous and current OATUG volunteer roles, COLLABORATE experience, and other volunteer or leadership experience with other organizations:

I've presented at OATUG Forum Online in April 2020 and will be presenting in OATUG Live Forum in Dec 2020. I've also written an article on Oracle EBS and APEX integration and web-services which will be published in Fal 2020 issue of OATUG Insight magazine. Apart from this, I'd been attending Collaborate conferences since last few years and also had been active in local user groups such as DOUG.

Why are you running for the board, and what skills, connections, resources, and expertise do you have to offer to the organization?

I have been working in Oracle technology for more than 15 years now and have worked on various versions of Oracle E-Business suite and now exploring cloud infrastructure. I've been working in technical areas as well as on business processes with end users. I have also worked on a various mobile platform applications and Oracle APEX applications integrated with Oracle EBS. I've helped our organization in creating many custom solutions in EBS such as an app for PO receiving process for partial receipts and custom APEX based budgeting system etc. I believe I will be able to contribute in various areas based on my experience so far in Oracle spectrum. I've also been networking with vendors / organizations in OATUG and DOUG over last few years so possibly I may bring some experience in that area as well.

Tell us about your current professional role and what Oracle products you are using and/or supporting.

I am currently working for Dallas Independent School District's IT department as Sr. Enterprise Application Developer. We have been using Oracle EBS 12.1.3 and we are currently in process of upgrading to 12.2.8. Apart from Oracle EBS, we've been using products such as Oracle APEX, Oracle mobile applications, Oracle UPK and TALEO and Oracle Identity Cloud Service. I've been involved in implementation and support of most of these products and have been working primarily on development, customization and support of Oracle EBS and extended applications using Oracle APEX platform.
