What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

OATUG mission to maximize customers' investments in Oracle and Partner solutions and educate on Oracle applications and technology has always helped me since I've been attending OATUG and other forums like DOUG since last many years. I've had great experience in interacting with OATUG members and many vendors helped our organization in implementing various solutions and helped me in learning about new technologies as well as new business areas and new solutions to help our business users.
I always wanted to contribute towards OATUG, that's when I thought of presenting a paper on how we leveraged Oracle APEX in extending our Oracle EBS system to develop some very useful solutions. I wanted to share my experience with our user community so it can help them build their own solutions using these Oracle tools. I am very keen in connecting with users and exchanging experiences to maximize investments in Oracle solutions. (More)

What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

I have supported the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle database for more than 20 years. In my opinion, Oracle has consistently adjusted and enhanced their products because of feedback from users and partnerships with user groups like the OATUG. I’ve spent my career working first as a consultant installing and maintaining the database and applications, and also as an educator, offering training, books, blog entries and presentations geared toward sharing the nuances that I’ve learned about the applications and database with the user community. I can’t think of anything more valuable to users than learning from others who have gone through similar experiences, and working with the OATUG to advocate for what the user community needs. (More)

What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

I have worked in business consulting for 30+ years and Training and Change Management support have been my focus and passion during this time. I have always believed that the End Users of any new process or system software need strong guidance through these changes. Without their acceptance, the transformed processes and new system functionality cannot be fully utilized.

I like that the OATUG is dedicated to this important support mission and supplies the right emphasis and many of the right tools to assist the User Community. Further, I really like the superior communication activities that make it simple and easy for Users to get answers to problems and communicate with others that either have similar issues or even better, have a solution for the issue. Those are reasons why I support the OATUG and would like to be a part of the Leadership Team. (More)

What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

As a self-proclaimed "techy" CPA, I have always naturally gravitated towards technology-based solutions to gain efficiencies and to improve processes. I enjoy the challenge of “finding a better way” to perform a task. OATUG provides an opportunity to do just that and more with Oracle and other partner solutions. I enjoy the interactions with other accounting professionals, users of Oracle and all the Oracle partner applications. While always meaningful to me, the OATUG mission and vision are even more visible right now during these challenging economic times. Most members are striving to get the most of their investments in technology and OATUG provides the resources to do so. I want to continue to serve and contribute to the solutions for members.
