My official title is Oracle Strategic Alliance Manager. In my role, I support Oracle, Oracle partners, and Oracle customers in connecting/integrating Oracle products to Avalara. Those Oracle products include
- Oracle Cloud ERP
- JDE
- EBS
- Commerce Cloud
- CPQ
- Oracle Hospitality Suite (Opera and Symphony)
- Oracle POS/Retail.
What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?
The OATUG mission has been meaningful to me in the past 7.5 years by connecting me to other members and learning of their professional experiences. Being part of the OATUG mentorship program, Women in Technology and Professional Development groups through OATUG has helped me not only direct my career, but also encourage me in my decision making.
Why are you running for the Board, and what skills, connections, resources and expertise do you have to offer the organization?
I would like to bring a new perspective to the board - one of a partner working with Oracle, not being a customer-of Oracle. It is a different experience, and we have different resources, needs, and expertise that I think could serve your members well. Additionally, it is easy for smaller partners to get "lost" in the Oracle ecosystem, and I can provide direction and support to those member organizations. I am also very organized and methodical, and I could offer those skills, as well!
Other OATUG and Volunteer Experience:
I have worked for 2 different OATUG member companies (former Mythics, current Avalara) and sponsored Ascend with both organizations. Through Mythics we sponsored the WIT Speaker and WIT Panel, which I was part of one year. Other volunteer and leadership experience has been various youth and adult leadership roles through my local church, and I served as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Penn State Alumni Association - Triangle Chapter for my term limit of 2 years.
