Corporate Associate Member (Centroid Systems)

Professional Role & Oracle Products Used

I'm currently the DBA lead and Architect for my team at Centroid which comprises of many different experience levels in our team. I enjoy the mentoring process of the younger team members who are hungry to gather knowledge and improve their skills. I also enjoy solutioning different ways to leverage the Oracle technology for the maximum benefit of our users of the technology. We have EBS, SOA, BI, GTM, Agile, OEM, RAC, as well as other technologies outside of Oracle that are add-ons to the applications.

What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?

I've been a user of Oracle products for a couple of decades and have always enjoyed the benefit of using the advanced technologies. With the OATUG mission being user driven it excites me to see how creative users can be with the technology and OATUG allows the users to share that creativity with each other.

Why are you running for the Board, and what skills, connections, resources and expertise do you have to offer the organization?

I've decided to run for the Board to continue my desire to help enrich our overall user community both locally as well as nationally/internationally through collaboration. I believe that sharing and mentoring is a foundational requirement of being part of a community which makes it about we and not me. I believe my experience and outside the box thought process could contribute to the overall success of the Organization.

Other OATUG and Volunteer Experience:

I'm currently a member of the Board of Directors for NCOATUG in the Midwest. I've enjoyed coming up with presentations as well as working with others to enrich the overall community with conference presentations as well as networking to share ideas as well as solutions to my peers' issues. I've volunteered as a youth mentor in my local community as well as been on the board of our local YMCA in previous years.
