I have performed allocations within PCM and ERP, consolidations between ERP and FCC, forecasting between FCC and Planning, reconciliations between ARCS and ERP, and create financial statements using FCC. I have recently become the FCC Global Process Owner (GPO). I love taking on new projects so that I can better myself, my team, and my company. I have recently begun to implement Narrative Reporting where I’ve attended OATUG conferences, both in person and virtually, to learn about how this could be a solution for our company. I also offer help to those who help me so that we can both get a rewarding experience working together. This experience has led me to want to do more with my knowledge and help share my experience with others.
What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?
Being able to network, connect, and educate other users of Oracle Modules is a rewarding experience. This is something I have learned in the past few months and want to be able to share my understanding with others. I believe helping and learning is an essential part of life. Sharing your knowledge to help someone as well as reaching out and bettering yourself from the knowledge of others is how we all can succeed. I’ve learned that having a strong network around you is beneficial in both personal and professional life so the OATUG concept of coming together and sharing and helping other Oracle users perfectly lines up with me.
Why are you running for the Board, and what skills, connections, resources and expertise do you have to offer the organization?
To be part of the OATUG Board would be a new challenge, both personally and professionally. This challenge will help me grow and show my two young daughters that if you put your mind to anything, you can do it. This will broaden my horizon, meet new connections, share my expertise, and learn more about Oracle to help my company and others have successful relationships with their business applications. I will bring a fresh outlook to OATUG as we are less than two years from implementation of Oracle. I have recently become the FCC (GPO. My love for learning, networking, taking on new tasks or coming up with ideas will be perfect for the OATUG Board.
Other OATUG and Volunteer Experience:
I have attended Ascend 2022 in Las Vegas and the OATUG Education week in August. These two experiences have led me to become the OATUG ambassador for Vanguard. I have led multiple development projects of apartment complexes of upwards of $200M from land to construction to operations over the course of two to three years. I have mentored many staff accountants under me in my work career. Growing up, I was always captain of sports teams or leading the group projects. Being able to help people and see them succeed is such a rewarding experience, just like the OATUG mission states.
