TIPS FOR ENGAGING WITH YOUR AUDIENCE:

  • Collect Attendee Questions Before Your Session:
    • Presenters can utilize the OATUG Hub to network with OATUG members and solicit questions and comments on the session topic. This will help to increase attendance for your session and help you to prepare answers in advance.
  • Use the Chat/Question Box:
    • Get people engaged, right from the start. Asking simple questions, such as, “Where are you joining from?”, “Where do you work?”, or even, “How many cups of coffee have you had today?” can help set the tone for your session.
  • Utilize Polling for Interactive Sessions:
    • Interested in feedback or a quick attendee snapshot? Use polls in your session for single or multiple-choice questions. (These need to be set up in advance. You can email Speaker Programs to submit your polls.)
  • Please reach out to us if you would like to talk through other ways to engage your audience virtually. We are happy to help support you in the design and presentation of your session.
