What makes the OATUG mission meaningful to you?
I have been volunteering for the OAUG/OATUG for many years now, and for me, I find it one of the most important resources for Oracle users to network, solve problems and understand what Oracle products really can do. Conferences like OOW are very marketing/sales focused, however Collaborate/OATUG content is where you go, to meet real people, real stories, actual use the products. The OATUG fills the gap between what Oracle is selling and developing, and User community that is using it or would like to use it.
Please list your previous and current OATUG volunteer roles, COLLABORATE experience, and other volunteer or leadership experience with other organizations:
- Chairman of the OATUG Support Council
- Chairman of the OATUG Marketing and Communications Committee
- Chairman of the OATUG Content Management Sub Committee
- Chairman of the OAUG Nomination Committee
- Over a dozen speaking engagements at COLLABORATE
- Member of the Atlanta OATUG GEO
- Board member BIWA (IOUG)
Why are you running for the board, and what skills, connections, resources, and expertise do you have to offer to the organization?
I have volunteered in many positions over the past few years and have decided that I would like to join the national board. I have a broad range of experiences as an Oracle customer, Oracle Employee and SI experience as well. Many of the board members know me and I hope to be able to assist the other 2020 board members with their activities and tasks in 2020.
Tell us about your current professional role and what Oracle products you are using and/or supporting.
I currently am working for a SI, focused on sales, pre-sales and marketing efforts in ERP, EPM and BI. We have clients that are using most mainstream Oracle products like EPM, EBS, Fusion Apps, HCM, Netsuite, ODI, OCI, Databases, Customer Care and Billing, and some non-Oracle products like Google, AWS, Onestream.
